I just realized that I only have 39 days left before we have to leave for the Philippines for 3 weeks (to attend my brother Richard's wedding and the annual Feast of Tabernacles). I still haven't lost weight :( so I could at least look decent in my bridesmaid gown. I just keep gaining more. Oh wells... *sighs* I know it won't help either when I get there because I know I would be pigging out on Filipino food and food that I have been craving and can't get here in the US. Scary. I hope the heat and humidity (plus activities) will help keep my weight down or better yet lose some. :) I won't keep my hopes up, but I will be at least hopeful.
Anyway, I still have a few things that I need to do prior to the trip. Besides some gift shopping, I am looking into getting a double stroller for the trip. I will need to hit some stores to hunt for a good deal on a decent double-seat stroller in the next 4 weekends (those are the only times I can have the truck). I am not sure yet as to the kind I want. There are so many different kinds of styles. But hopefully I can find one that is decent enough without having to be too expensive. Also, I need find a luggage set for the trip. That won't be too hard to find as there are always deals on luggages, especially since the Summer season is almost over.
Needless to say, I am starting to get anxious and somewhat just a lil' bit stressed with the coming trip. I am just glad we have our tickets purchased already a few months back.
I have been finalizing some details and arrangement for an anniversary celebration get-away for us. It is going be Jeb and my 5th wedding anniversary and I want to plan something special for him (us), also because we got married in the Philippines, it is like "revisiting that wedding day" 5 years ago. I have the stuff planned out in my head already... I just have to put it down in paper and make the necessary bookings and arrangements. I am really looking forward to this! :)
One other thing I am really thinking hard on is what to do and bring for the kids to make them entertained and happy in the long plane flights, as well as when we are in the Philippines yet. Any suggestions from mom's who has travelled with their little toddlers in what you did to keep your toddlers from boredom in the flight? We are thinking on getting a Media player to stick some kid movies in. I know Jordan will be somewhat entertained with that, but Aubrey won't sit thru any movies yet. She likes to get down and walk and "do things". What games / toys should I bring that won't be too heavy for the luggage weight but yet keep them happy -- unless I get some toys for them while in the Philippines and leave them behind for Teatephi to have. :) That might be a good idea. I'm sure I can figure out all the little details for the trip. I am just stressing over nothing right now, I guess. I just don't want to forget something important while we are there (or during the trip).
Okay... I think I will spare you with the rest of my thinking out loud.

I would definitely bring some games or something for them to draw on to enertain them. Maybe treat them by letting them pick out a toy at the store before hand for them to play with during the flight. If it's a new toy, and they got to pick it out, they might be more likely to play with it longer and not get bored as quickly. Also, if you have a portable DVD player and a lot of extra batteries, with movies they really enjoy, that might help too
