Trials...?

E-mail Print PDF

It feels like our enemy, Satan, is really getting our spirits down for the approaching Holy Days, which starts with Passover in 2 weeks.  After an afternoon nap on Saturday, I woke up with just a slight headache.  I thought it would just go away, and tried drinking water, eating a bit... maybe it is just a dehydration headache or hunger.  However, it kept on until we were at my parents-in-laws place to visit for the Sabbath.  It was getting worse that I had to take something for it so I can enjoy visiting and be able to witness Sabrina's baptism that evening.  Unfortunately, it didn't go away and I had to miss Sabrina's baptism :(.  I was in bed resting, 'cause I feel ready to puke if I tried moving around.  After a few hours of resting, I needed to get up since we needed to go home.  And I did throw up when I got up.   I hate getting headaches.  Headaches for me always lead to throwing up.

Is it just me or is there a force behind from discouraging/hindering me to be able to attend any "spiritual gathering" right now.  First the Sabbath service.  Jason was going to give his first sermonette, and from what I heard was excellent.  And then Dad his first full sermon, which was very good too.  Lastly, Sabrina's baptism -- all in one day! I am so bummed.  Well, it is not unusal and new to me that on times especially nearing Holy Days, Satan gets very active in discouraging and stressing out God's people with trials, from preparing for the Holy Day festivals (Passover, and Days of Unleavened Bread is the HD's coming up).  Well, I guess he managed to put a roadblock for us from being able to attend church today and for me, Sabrina's baptism, but he definitely hasn't dampen my spirit.  Let's just help in keep praying for one another, for their trials, especially in fighting off the enemy so we can keep God's Holy Days peacefully and meaningfully, feeling renewed and rejuvenated.
